Because it is good quality coke coal in New Zealand.

Also, it started production and have sold to buyers.

From the economy point view, it makes profits to whole country, employment etc...

That is very important to us.

Because world needs the coal and demanding is very high at the moment.


The explosion is very common in coal mine, but we have to make sure to avoid that tragedy happen again.

There are a number of options for continue mining:

a) Open the pit of PRC coal -- easy to load up for shipment

b) Restructure of tunnel and exiting and entrance doors

c) Restrict miners working areas in mine

d) Improve the safety management

PRC has done most of work; there are no reasons to stop mining, as I say that safety issue always is the issue in mining industrial.

We look at Chile, China, Russia, and Australia?-- tragedy happens every year.

Now it is time to improve skills to avoid it happening, we learn from this tragedy.
