All you have written is EXACTLY why you get in contact with the appropriate ministers office, especially after the Premier had mentioned falling revenues from mining royalties. You just let them know the situation. The department officials involved never know what hits them when it comes from above.
Going via the nasty letter to some middle management totally wrong approach.
BTW Gina stated something like 2000 permits,licenses etc, in the version I read. Did sound over the top though in every way.
