I am a long term property bull, better defined that I recognise that it too is cyclical. It would be foolhardy at this stage to suggest that the economy , especially mining is in a good spot. Prices will not plunge dramatically across the board but some unique buying opportunities are going to present themselves in the next year or two and based on past downturns these are the times that those who are well informed on real estate, have good contacts , have friends in real estate will be well positioned to do well out of any property malaise. Those with equity, good income and nous will be the ones castigated again 10 years time for easy pickings.
That dynamic is no different to any investment vehicle and bears would be foolish to stay bears and yes there are times that bulls need to re appraise. This is after all an investment forum with its focus on property and not a camp for some extremist nonsense we find here esp in the bear camp. You bears if you don't get with it you will loose out again and those with the collateral will not be badly damaged.
