The funding crisis is unavoidable once confidence in the risk on Australian currency subsides and foreigners want to lock in the currency gains (or stem further losses compounded by a currency devaluation). There is a lot of hot money following the strongest currencies and it is highly highly mobile.
Hardly positive for an asset class that will need to see new money to propel any hope of growth in the property market.
