Perth-based Talisman Mining has commenced a planned RC drilling at its Sinclair nickel project to follow-up recent encouraging aircore results suggesting the potential for komatiite-hosted, magmatic nickel sulphide mineralisation, but did not find the basal contact position which is interpreted to be the most favourable host site for massive nickel sulphide accumulations,
The program includes six holes at Schmitz Well South, where there was 4m at 1.30% nickel from 57m, and three holes at the high priority Delphi North prospect, following up past intercepts including 90m at 4.2% nickel from 131m.
The program will also involve downhole electromagnetic surveys.
