A tradesman......(or tradeswoman to be politically correct)

Someone who actually entered into, and completed, an indentured apprenticeship and trained in the relevant field over a 4 to 5 year period (varies on trade)and also completed the 4 year technical theory course and completed the examinations to tradesman standard gaining both theoretical and hands on practical ability resulting in a formal qualification

Sadly these days, in our great world of progress, it seems that you can merely pay a large amount of money (10k plus)and attend a college for 12 months and be issued with a "diploma" and people feel its equivalent ??

Far from it....

Formal trades are a great way to gain an in depth knowledge and combine it with the theoretical technical ability and apply it to a hands on situation...

Boots on feet, toolbox in hand , hard hat on head etc is merely jewellery and anyone can wear that.....its whats inside that counts.
