Wouldn't that be pleasing shareholders and isn't that all that anyone has been calling for?
You'll find that many of the complaints are legitimate and perhaps some of those emotional (risk adverse?) holders have reduced their holding accordingly. Whether you agree with it or not the market (especially the spec end) IS emotion, the market is emotionally driven and sentiment orientated.
Very few sophisticated investors will drop more than pocket money on spec shares, hold and hope isn't a strategy. The majority will trade the swings or get set long before the trapped "emotional holders" are venting on HC. This is a punt - investment by a tax definition only. As progress is made then the risk is reduced and institutional investors will jump on board.
If we start associating genuine concerns with shareholders playing the victim and encouraging them to sell or move on...it only serves to stifle debate and create the kind of culture that has landed management where they are.
Sentiment. You can't escape it, generally it's either a buying/selling opportunity or just white noise which is best to ignore.
