Guys, I've recently been up to Jabiru on holidays and saw the Ranger mine. Got curious and started reading... I struggle to believe that a resource like this is essentially being mothballed. Sure, there is always some impact with any human activity, but there are benefits as well. In this particular case, Jabiru would benefit and with it whoever lives around there.
Does anybody know when ERA last held talks with the Mirrar people? I wonder, 'cause there are other Uranium prospecting activities in that region, like in Nabarlek which is not too far away. I assume AGE wouldn't spend money there unless they had some confidence they could also mine, right? Or is there some sort of issue specifically between ERA and Mirrar people?
