Didn't Western Australia, the State of Excitement, where Mining Leases are granted ten a penny , at the drop of a hat, recently embarass itself by failing to notice that a lease it had granted for the mining and export of a highly toxic substane, lead carbonate, had surpassed all known environmental controls and birds were dropping dead in Esperance, some 1000km away from the mine itself?
The last time I applied for a mine lease in Queensland, which I have done on several occaisions, in various states of the Commonwealth, I found the Qld government no more or less helpful than their interstate counterparts.
The process, like any government process, relies on the timely dissemination of factual, accurate data, to a regulation time table.
I believe William has a problem with this sort of approach....
