Liberal Government in WA can get a mining licence in 18 months and in Queensland 5 years and still waiting. What a Joke this Government is. See Sandfires announcement today. They are going to commence development in the first half of 2011. Rocklandsstarted the Lease Applicationnearly 5 years ago and still nothing. There a four mining companies just in Cloncurry alone waiting for Mining Leases. Why would anyone want to do business in Queensland. Sanfire will be in production whilst Cudeco is still sitting on the fence waiting for a lease. THINK OF THE ROYALTIES THAT COULD BE COMING FROM CLONCURRY AND OTHER PARTS OF QUEENSLAND IF THEY HAD SOMEONE THAT HAD ANY IDEA OF HOW TO RUN A STATE. The QLD Government is selling off the states assets like the Queensland Rail, the Electricity and other state assets because they have no money. Why would you be selling off the states assets when there are mining companies waiting for Mining Leases ready and waiting to pay Royalties. I read an article on the weekend where they reckon the state of the DERM Envioro Dept of QLD is in such a mess they were sending invoices for Mines that closed or changed hands 10 years ago. What a Joke.
