Go beyond the press. Look at the laws and constitution of the Solomons. Axiom have a 50 year lease with the owners of the land which was proven in the High Court in February. The Mining Act specifically states that the owners of the land get to decide who mines their land. Doesnt matter what the PM's office or anyone else thinks. Doesnt matter that it was 3 days til the Mining Licence was granted. Axiom engaged with the landowners and by law thats all that matters. The only way this company wont be a winner is if the law and constitution are changed. And that wont happen cause their are elections in 3 months are the PM wont override his own citizens land rights, and it would be a disaster for foreign investment.
