Ive been going over the limited amount of information on the mining method, the underground plan sounds fantastic, the open pit plan sounds like its been hatched by the industry standard expert or maybe underground engineers.
for one it looks as if MYG are trying to mobe trucks in once to save money, skimping on a dollar could cost much more later on.
Cat 773 trucks are too small in open cut to get the tonnes moved at a reasonable price and too big for narrow vien underground, I would mobe 2 underground trucks in to move the open cut ore and do odd jobs and use cat 777 or 785 trucks (85 to 110t) for bulk waste, de-mobe the big trucks as soon as the open cuts finished.
I would go for a 120 tonne digger over a 100 tonne digger for bulk waste and a 45 tonne digger with different size buckets, a narrow bucket for digging ore and a standard bucket for pulling batters, the narrow bucket should cut down on dilution of ore dependent on blasting techniques and the 45t digger pulling batters can keep the production digger on waste to speed up mining.
The blasting plan sounds fantastic in therory but unlikely to work, will depend on the ore and waste being similar hardness and haveing engineers that know how to orientate the blast hole spacing to suit the firing conture so the ore is fired along strike, (trying not to mix ore with waste) this is very unlikely as so called blasting engineers have very little understanding of design, especially if they come from one of the larger miners.
I think the saving grace of this entire operation is the grade, total mining monkeys could turn a profit out of this head grade, and the resource is likely to increase, even if it was only 30% the resource would then be in the significant area due to the grade, thats why Im in, good luck punters

Im spewin I was to tight to stump up for more options last month, things are looking to be moving forward in a positive way.
