one part of the link provided about the new legislation/changes is:
"The new charter also seeks to create a Mining Transformation and Development Agency that will direct money to local communities and invest in education"
is this already one of the issues that the communities have not been receiving anything? Most likely an issue Zijin will be addressing to ensure the registration is granted.
the industry is making loss after loss so why would they want to reject an overseas mining powerhouse such as Zijin who can come in and fund the project with their chinese gov't backing and therefore surely create local jobs and revenue through BEE and local payments. Seems fairly straight forward to sort the issues out and move forward to development/production. but nothing has moved forward the way it should, hopefully changes occur asap and things are fixed
