Mining Voices Forum will address challenges and opportunities of lithium mining in Chile

Next Thursday, March 3 at 10:00 AM, the Voces Mineras trade association will develop the Forum "Challenges and Opportunities of Lithium Mining in Chile" . Instance where recognized specialists will intervene as exhibitors and the future Minister of Mining, Marcela Hernando, will participate to start the presentations.

The event, which will be broadcast by EmolTV through www.emol.com , will include a presentation by Juan Carlos Guajardo , executive director of Plusmining, who will refer to the context and projections of the international lithium market. Cristián Quinzio , lawyer and academic specialist in mining, who will address the legal framework that regulates the exploitation of this mineral in the country.

They are joined by Eduardo Bitran , academic and former executive vice president of Corfo, whose presentation will deal with the contribution of lithium to the Chilean economy. Willy Kracht , director of the Department of Mining Engineering of the University of Chile and future Undersecretary of Mining, will also be present , who will delve into the possible creation of a National Lithium Company , as proposed by the government program of the President Elect, **riel Boric .

The forum will be moderated by Víctor Pérez, partner of Voces Mineras, and will be introduced by Sergio Jarpa, president of the trade association.
