Well,
Codelco is going to start a Basic Exploration on his property (It's going to take a loooooong time for them to do anything), so it does have some property on the Salar (to the west), nothing fancy, but they may find some decent Li concentration.
Codelco has CEOL not only for the MSB properties btw.
The JV that u mention would be very messy IMO plus I am not sure BYD and Errazuriz have any tenements on the Salar?? They can't just step on someone else's foot, can they? The South part of the Salar has limitations because of the National Park. There would be SQM property but for what I've heard, they are not planning anything in Maricunga atm.

Codelco needs Us and we need Codelco for the CEOL, but that will be Stage 2... Stage 1 will be up and running already by then.
There are no other companies operating in the Salar that are ready to go, like LPI/MSB...makes sense to JV with us as first step.
