    Rangefinder,

Sorry didn't read your comments until today. The newspaper article repeated at the very top of this thread is from the Namibian Sun and the link is here:

    http://www.namibiansun.com/story/minister-rejects-%E2%80%98nationalisation%E2%80%99-charge

Going through the sources, this is the latest word from the Namibian government. Articles such as the one put up by Borocay and Champ date from last Friday - 29 April. Don't be fooled* by the date on Champ's article from DJ Newswire dated 4 May - this is a rewrite and reprint of an original article that quoted Government sources from last Friday.

*[To be clear - I am not calling anyone a fool, I am saying don't be fooled by the DJ date. Champ & Borocay posted in good faith and there is no criticism of their posts implied]

Note that this week has two public holidays in Namibia (Mon & Wed).

I am surprised that the Namibian Sun article has not been more widely quoted. Perhaps organisations like DJ Newswires take a few days to repeat Namibian news, in which case we should see this article in the next few days.

Hopefully we shall also see more "clarification" from official sources as well. Issuing a ML would go a long way towards cooling things down...
