Not sure if it has been answered but it is a good valid question. I am no expert, but the facilities are normally developed for a specific commodity- iron ore, coal etc. If you change from one type to the other you need to clean everything to prevent contamination. And anyone who has been to the Pilbara can vouch that the red dust gets into everything.
So having a facility that switches between lithium and iron ore is unlikely.
But I may be wrong- this might just be my Saturday morning rambling before bacon and eggs; as AGO is already shipping Lithium and manganese from Utah point.
