Hello Stevebiscuit, I can understand the logic, but don't agree with the conclusion. Most companies have a system in place for approval of press releases without the need for the physical presence of the director or secretary; and in any case the secretary is as close as an internet connected computer.

Why would the minister overide the EPA? In my view its not a done deal. I would think that minister will seek advice from experts in the techinical field and will make a carefully considered opinion based on his assessemnt of the chance of commercial success - so that in the event of critism he has an escape. Of course all shareholders hope that he overides the EPA, an organisation that I don't have a lot of respect for as they are composed largely of impractical academics, but he will need a logical and carefully thought out wording to go with such an announcement.

Just some thoughts. My concern is following the discovery of OD, major companies examined Australia for lookalikes and the strategy was to apply for the ground and drill the targets before the ground was granted and drop the ground if nothing was found. Using this strategy no reporting is required. So a key question is has the Torrens OD target been drilled previously or not?
