Any extra is better than no extra, but as others have said this only brings the value to essentially where it was back when the offer was first made. We can't blame the Chinese, they are only playing the game as anyone else would; ie. buy something as cheaply as they can!
As for whether people should vote YES or NO today? Depending on what is said and asked at the meeting today should now determine people's response. I would say the value that MM has now offered has placed the offer at a level where accepting it is probably better than having the pain of sale assets through the worst case scenario of administration. If however, the CEO or Board would answer the simple question of whether the banks are still taking the same hard line on the loans (or are they prepared to again extend or maybe even re-finance) then the fight should continue!
