George Floyd death at hands of Minneapolis police was homicide, says updated medical examiner's report
A local medical examiner's report has ruled that the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis was a homicide.
The report was released this morning by the Hennepin County medical examiner, which has jurisdiction over the US city.
Mr Floyd died after being pinned down by a police officer, who knelt on his neck, on May 25.
The updated findings from the examiner stated that Mr Floyd died from a loss of blood flow due to compression on his neck while being restrained by Minneapolis police.
