my guess is that we are in a bull trap. Over the next 8 weeks we may see this play out. This is based on my thought that the housing market in the US is a oil tanker. Turning it takes a lot of space and time. ie you don't lay everybody off leaving unfinished houses. Employment in the house market uses a lot of illegal immigrants and they don't show up in the unemployment figures. They will show up in decreased consumption tho. The Fed is a small tugboat pushing the other way.
