"Misogynist" is just an accusation used to intimidate men, just a tactic, same as "racist" or "denier" (in the climate change debate) or whatever. It's meaningless but still useful to those that want to use it.
Easiest way to defuse that is just admit it and say "so what, wanna sue me"?
