yea I got an interestng manager in one of my jobs and wow is that person not nice, trying hard to be some where in a hurry :-)
I gave them chocolates and a plant and let a few know as I was walking into the main office area. Most said what would you do that for and I just smiled and said to make them feel good.
Well it worked for me and the person actually changed just a little to me.
