Big coat - you have been misled. A gas company can't march onto your land and drill a well wherever they want. They have to have an access agreement with you to come onto your land. Despite the bs from lock the gate no landowner in QLD or NSW has had a well drilled on their property without the owners consent.
Landowners in QLD are earning up to a million dollars a year from "farming" gas while receiving treated csg water which has drought proofed their property.
My my question to you- would you consider having gas wells on your property if you would earn say $200,000 per year from land access payments, receive free drinking water to top up your dam and have someone else take care of your fences while running your farm the same way that you've always run it?
