Cooper Companies just released its 2023 Q3 results, and there is quite a lot of discussion of Misight, demonstrating how important the myopia market is seen to be by a large contact lens supplier.
Revenue growth continues, but has slowed from the very fast pace of a year or so ago, and I have it now about 10% q-on-q:
Other points of interest are:
- Increasing coverage by insurance companies in the US which obviously make the product more affordable for families
- Slowing uptake in China, but doing well in the US and Europe
And a big investment it seems in further R&D - my guess likely to be a toric version. Would be good to know if the toric Naturalvue product is still under development as it allows about 30% of the population to be serviced that can't use standard contact lenses.
Our new CEO will no doubt have a lot of insight into how things are tracking with Misight.
