There are three key RCTs in progress now, with results for VTI and J&J still in the early phases - here is a summary of the results in the reduction in D (measure of myopia)




The results of the new J&J lens at 6 months is on par with both Naturalvue and Misight, perhaps a little less effective if one extropolates to a 12 month result of -0.24. The key for VTI is the red numbers which are the real world results after 2 and 3 years from 66 children, compared to Misight that was at least twice as worse at controlling myopia at 3 years. If this ability to continue to stop the progression of myopia is reflected in the RCT results at for Naturalvue at 2 years, it would be big news.

Keen to see the statistical analysis of the 1 year result to come out in January, with hopefully a distribution shown for the effects on individual children - would expect very few or no "non-responders" for Naturalvue.
