Many of you griping about the AFR article sound like you are citizens of a country like Russia where the concept of freedom of the press is more fiction than reality. Last time I checked Australia is a democratic country that confers ironclad protection to the press. GSW will not be suing AFR for defamation or whatever. Stop that nonsense. Last but not least, I think it's important one evaluates its investment with a healthy level of emotional detachment. I have invested in once promising companies that turned out to be lousy companies. I had no difficulty reassessing my investment thesis when materially damaging information came out. It also goes the opposite way. The fact is there should be no ambiguity on whether GSW executed bona-fide revenue generating contract. Allowing that to happen call into question the honesty of the management team. I would not want to invest in a company where management likes to play semantics or skirt the truth.
