If you had HD you would want to start PBT2 as early as possible to stop the neurodegeneration that occurs before symptoms appear
The brain atrophy may also be happening at a slower rate with PBT2 taken at diagnosis before symtoms
While PBT2 may not cure HD it could possibly slow progression and significantly delay serious problems psychosis and death for HD patients
The Phase 111 trial should show benefits over longer term but many HD pts will want PBT2 NOW to prevent further deterioration, this will be a challenge for FDA to address ASAP
HD usage de-risks PBT2 and current M&A valuation is about 10 times sales (see Forest Labs)
HD = $800m sales so $8bn maybe a good place to start before AD
