With respect, I don't have your first hand knowledge, but I gather she is intelligent, high functioning and sees this as her purpose. It is her wish to act. Like any of us, I'd say these are decisions for herself and those in her support network. We have to let them fly (figurative) if they want and not put fences around them. I'm sure she also inspires many with and without similar issues. Not many autistic teenagers find themselves on Time magazine.
