It actually is that simple most of the time. Yes emails go unanswered, that's normal,
But very often as a major holder you call and introduce yourself and you may not get to talk to the CEO but the CFO is just as good.
You may have to persist but success is likely. After all, what sort of company will not talk to a top 10 holder?
If I was a top 10 and the company wouldn't talk to me I would be wary of holding such a big stake.
