Isn’t that a bit bold - valuing the ounces at more than $250 an ounce, for instance? If the MRE comes in at 1m ounces (especially if the resources are categorised as closer to proven than probable) that’s going to mean the share price races up 4 or 5x.
maybe open pit/shallow ounces might push up the valuation. As might interest from NST, which already has a lot of sunk cost at Carosue, so might pay more per ounce than others.
on the other hand, NST is also well positioned to drive a harder bargain: other bidders less obvious at this stage, and NXM needs some kind of sale to fund future operations, rather than raising again at low levels…?
