If I have the fortune or misfortune to live to a grand old age like my parents I've spent my "carer's money" on SGH shares.

On the other hand I'm sitting on the front deck of my holiday house, the sky is blue the sun is shining for now, eating a bowl of yoghurt mixed with sugarfree chocolate powder and blueberries (I sense a collective shudder but I enjoy it almost as much as a fine chocolate mousse, no accounting for taste) and sneaking oats and cheese to butcher birds, magpies and peewees and maybe parrots and galahs against the wishes of she who mbo, and have just been on a walk to the ocean beach and coffee shop.

So life could be worse. A lot of the time I live in a fool's paradise.
