Okay, just got off the phone to Commsec, this is what the person I was speaking to has advised:
* Because the company announced the suspension on the 17th, all shares relating to trades on the 17th are held in 'Available' as opposed to 'Registered' (I took it that 'Registered' meant allocated to HIN's) * They said when the shares come off suspension they would be allocated to 'Registered'. * I advised that the share would not come off suspension as the company is re-domiciling to the NASDAQ; so what happens to the shares? * They need to investigate more and will come back to me tomorrow or Wednesday.
I hope this is the case and 'Available' shares can be linked to HIN's; but even if this is the case, what does that mean in regards to Automic providing a full registry to Computershare US in the next few days?
Please note I'm only passing on what I've been advised; and I'm certainly not discounting what others have said regarding Naked Shorting. I mentioned on the Reddit thread on Saturday that I wasn't concerned. Unfortunately this is no longer the case.
