I guess it was deleted because it was a private email that could not be substantiated. Perhaps if you had copied the email and then pasted on this forum, it may have been allowed.
I had trouble myself once before for reasons that escaped me at the time, it is not easy to formally discuss the reasons with the moderators. I guess this part of hot copper could be improved, this is not intended as an inflammatory comment, it is meant to be constuctive.
