I think that may explains the Japanese Prime ministers visit to Perth recently.
The damage to ships would have accrued a while ago for insurers to get involved now ie end of insurance contacts ending and renewal time soon.
The timing marries up and I agree they will be desperate for gas. They would have put pressure on McGowen to relax his reservation policy during his visit. McGowen ordered a review days after the visit into the reservation policy.
Then we saw corporate activity. Interesting when you join the dots.
