Hi niqo, a spring is just a brief dip below support (to blow stops) followed by a move back above support / into the trading range. Major support is 85.7c from when we first got down here last year but subsequent revisits to this area have only got as low as 86.5c and 87c respectively. Anyway, you don't know if it's a spring until it's back above support but it's much safer buying down here near major support when everyone's depressed than way up there on a big gap up announcement.
