Noapp. In the Ceramic Industry we work with Lithium Carbonate and Acitic Acid both in powder Form.
We mix Lithium Carbonate in water 1; 100, NO reaction with Water. We than add Acitic Acid very little at a time. Mixture has a reaction as if one has put a red hot metal rod into the mixture. Should you add it at a faster rate it looks like a mini explosion and seems to boils over danderously. However Lithium Carbonate in powder form is very dangerous if used without masks as it has a very pungent smell care must be taken to make sure one does not blow the dust about. Have worked with Lithium Corbonate for over 25 years.
