Oil Price (by Charles Cox ~ Bloomberg is up to date, WTRG always lags by about 6 hours, Nymex doesn't work)
Gold Spot (by Harris Margo)
Yahoo! Finance (by Rob Marquardt, I have v 1.0.2)
Any Currency (by England Wei ~ I have found that XE.com is the most up to date 'Data Source' -in the preferences after you've installed the widget)

There are squillions of widgets. They are little programs that run on the widget engine and make use of your spare bandwidth by getting tiny bits of info off the web and displaying it on your desktop.
