I asked the CEO through email about this, his response below:

"The article is a complete fabrication. Even KCS don't know where it has come from. I have just gone a radio show to put the story straight.

Our plans remain the same as before. NZ capacity to assemble up to 500 Jetpacks per year. There will be a capacity for assembly of 1000 per year in China just for the China market. We will then set up assembly plants in different parts of the world when required.
