Finally, some acknowledgement that MJP might, just possibly, have been doing something, not much of course, but just a tiny bit of something useful behind the scenes. This is despite the constant barrage of criticism that nothing good would ever eventuate from such a useless company and management.  
Who would have guessed!?  Gosh, MJP must have been taking in all that constructive criticism and gnashing their teeth with shame.  

Ah well, now we all have a bit more light on the subject.


Seriously though, this announcement looks to me like the culmination of a carefully planned and staged response to both the difficulties and challenges of commercialising a novel aircraft, and the phenomenal opportunities that presents.  This progress is exactly what could be expected for a company at this stage of the game.  Of course its reassuring to see progress actually happen.  What will be nicer is to see an inventory of finished product standing on the showroom floor as the basis for a rising tide of orders.  I expect that stage will come when everything else in the commercialisation plan gets implemented.

But, just because we are not being told all the details does not mean that nothing is happening.
