Hi dazza, there are several scenarios that I can think of:
1) They try to keep this operation going as long as they can and have done, drawing good wages and benefits, not releasing too much in the way of concrete announcements and hoping that KuangChi will open its wallet again, once this 100+ staff company has used up the remaining NZ$29 million dollars.
2) They give up in the foreseeable future, admitting defeat and appointing an administrator to disolve the remaining assets.
3) A brand new management team is appointed, including a new board. A new group of technicians is employed to assess the entire project, including the suitability of this new engine, manufactured by a company in England, which so far only supplied manufacturers of small drones.
4) Anything in between these 3 scenarios.
