ML has just announced a very similar set of accounts on CUO. This is happening all over the place. I really think the government should make stock borrowing illegal, though I wouldn't dare hazard a guess as to how they could do that except to make the stock lender show to the market these kinds of borrowings up front and ahead of the event.

I mean, if you are trying to stabilise the ASX, clearly the best first step is to yank ML's license. Fricking yanks.
