If the company performs ,ultimately I dont think its a game they can win ,but in the meantime many lives and financial security of many less sophisticated investors is destroyed for no good reason, other than to say we have a free market .Society has laws and rules ,and as a society ,we dont really ever have total freedom .We have those laws and rules to protect the innocent and weaker souls from those that will prey on those weaknesses .The sharemarket is no different .The bigger funds use their monstrous power to swamp the little guys .They can do this because of the huge power imbalance in financial markets .The range of instruments available has made it easier for these giants to weild their power to financially rape the smaller investors. They can still sleep at night because its not their money they are playing games with ,so even when they lose it doesnt affect them emotionally like the mums and dads . Governments need to realise the imbalance in the markets and put rules in to place to stop this bullying and financial rape ,in what they call a "free market"
How many Super funds are lending out our own shares to destroy us all financially using our own shares ?
Filthy tactics are used in markets every day to gain advantage ,and its not good enough to just ignore it or stick our head in the sand and call it a free market .
In a nutshell what we have is a world financial market where the the strong legally manipulate the weak by using their massive power .There is no real value you can put on companies. The powerful set the prices on any given day with the aid of artificial instruments and shady tactics .The only thing you can hope is that the company you invest in achieves its goals, allowing its share price to turn around somewhere down the track .
We are now at the mercy of management and their performance .
