Given structure is down to a single atom the challenge is the creation of graphene materials and of course it's application. Seen applications such as rope material to strenghten ropes, drill bits, but graphene is lighter than carbon and strong, so next generation of planes will be built using it. Lighter aircraft equals more efficiencies on fuel to be gained.
It has lower resistance than copper and so will be incorporated into circuitry and increase efficiencies in that space.
Gosh uses are endless and will mean alot of products we use today will be re-engineered using graphene.
