"EXPIRY OF OPTIONS
He has agreed to put my request for an extension of the expiry date for the options to the Board when it next meets.
My request is based on two factors :
That an extension is in the interests of the Company as a mechanism to raise additional Capital on conversion of the options ie approx $5m.
The need to ensure that option holders are treated fairly and without prejudice , having regards to earlier decisions that have been taken, including the delay of drilling at Mile 72.
If you hold options it may well be in your interest to lend your support to this request by also emailing your request to the Company at www.metalsaustralia .com.au."
Franco.one of my mates said I got a mention in your moderated post.
For the record, I posted the above on 20/2/09 --you can verify that in my record of posts-- does it sound like someone who works for the Company ? A bit hard when I live in Adelaide!!
Recently, Rooster in good natured humour, suggested I had too much time on my hands with all my research -- well I have had a copy of the entire court transcript for about 2 weeks -- all 325 pages read backwards and forwards -- and still didn't help me pick the winner !!
Just like most of mls posters I am gutted and at the moment and too be quite honest I don't feel confident enough at the moment to tell up from down.
No doubt we will all deal with the news in our own way--at this stage I imagine the shares will be hammered tomorrow -I would love to be first out the door but I suspect the buyers will have dried up .If it gets silly I will be a buyer and take a punt on the appeal.
I can 't imagine that there will be a market for the options -- but I do believe there is a very good case for them to be extended --perhaps more on that later. If there isn't a market for the options, email the Company with your request for the options to be extended -- as I posted in February 2009 and stehenjd has reiterated tonight -- don't give up without a fight! It is about time that they stated their intention --yes or no , don't jerk us around.
In the event that my mate was pulling my leg --my apologies Franco. If he wasn't I look forward to an apology on your return !
That's about all I can say at the moment.
Only my views usual.
regards
