With respect pre I disagree . Social media is the new way people communicate and it’s here to stay. It’s the new newspaper but better as it widens the market still further and levels the field enormously. It stops this essential part of capitalism from being the preserve and good fortune of the few. It’s so widespread that it’s nearly as good as a news release media and actually counteracts cosy little , self-righteous established controlling groups ... kids in the multitude of ghettos across the world can immediately see what’s going on in the world for the first time ever. Now we have to be careful not to use it (without regulation) to broadcast defined , material , price-sensitive insider info ahead of the insiders, exchange, mining crews, labs and transport teams learning about it and formally announcing via a written NR blasted out via the computer networks ... I agree . But We have to be careful not classify all information that may appear positive to be insider info. Core pictures even if the were labelled on one section with something that looked like it represented a date tomorrow is not insider info imo . You don’t know it’s content for sure and what it represents and how it is going to affect sp and commerce any more than if you watch CATL build a new giga factory with pictures of different building materials that could look positive. If we start defining this as price sensitive and insider then every stock analyst (even those serving the asx employee pension funds) will start having to recall their reports . If there’s a picture of a signed mou, lab report, TO Agreement, JORC result etc then that’s different . ALL of this post IMO. Guys you’ll be glad to learn that I’m not posting anymore until this unpleasantness is over and importantly for me, ASX make it clear what constitutes acceptable twitters and defines clearly what isn’t . In the meantime I will just watch the SP rise to my target dollar and consider opening a twitter account to see what all the fuss is about . AIMHO DYOR
