Not strictly correct, the non MLX 50% is owned by Yunnan Tin Australia (YTP) and they sold a big chunk (around 82% from memory) to L'sea who have since become Greentech. However, they could achieve the same result of taking 100% of BMTJV but if Yunnan Tin are not fully on side (something in it for them), it might be more complex.
The big problem with this is "who will run the mine"? MLX are 50% owner and operator. the Greentech portion of YTP know nothing of how to run a mine. Yunnan Tin operate many mines in China but the cultural challenges would be too great. This is why my hunch is that they would do a deal with someone like MMG who already have experience in both Chinese mining business and in Tasmania (they operate Rosebery Cu, Pb, Zn mine next to Renison.
All pure conjecture but interesting
