To add colour to this the Jefferies client (insto) has been buying relentlessly for the past month or two. Here is the broker data for the last 2 months and the data for the full year.
The client has bought ~30mil shares this year. I would suggest its the same person buying aggressively today (its the same aggressive style buying as we saw recently) and hence with ~20mil more shares purchased we may even see a sub holder notice in due course.
Also, I can't fit it into the screenshot, but CommSec is the largest net seller for both periods.
MLX is really shaping up for a mammoth 2022, if 2021 wasn't already big enough.
