Very uninteresting post...? is it sarcasm and we are in a downward trend? Is it being facetious and we are on an uptrend? Thats not even a nice graph you have posted.

Anyway, these small caps are always going to trend downwards and pip up with announcements and news. I'm not too familiar with the involvement the director who resigned had in this and where he is heading but that is definitely perceived as a negative generally speaking. Everyone who is holding this stock broadly speaking is doing so on the expectation that the canadian licence = growing = money; this will expand when it becomes legal in Australia and other nations. The phase II clinical trials will also be a big catalyst one way or the other; hopefully NSW government will show some love this way instead of just towards GW pharmaceuticals.

DYOR, this is a worthy punt that if it succeeds in taking just a portion of the marketshare will be worth far more than its current market cap. Remember this market exists its just hidden in the shadows, billions of dollars spent in the black market.

This is an old but interesting breakdown of the costs and supply in australia - dated around 1992

"With a conservative average yield of 500 grams of cannabis per plant, Queensland’s annual consumption of cannabis (40.5 tonnes, by 83,600 frequent regular users, at a street value of $361.6m) could be satisfied by about 81,000 mature plants per year [17]. But Queensland police seize on average 40,000 to 50,000 plants annually without any discernible market effect, which implies a much larger crop. Queensland supply might be significant in Australia,15 with three-quarters of the state’s crop meeting out-of-state demand [17]. If these conclusions are correct, then the Queensland cannabis industry is worth $632.8m (at retail prices of around $9 per gram and an annual crop of 70.9 tonnes) or $283.6m (at wholesale prices of around $4,000 per kg), comparable with the values of the commercial sugar and wheat crops in Queensland."

I would be interested if anyone knows of more recent studies and peoples thoughts regarding this.
