I find the stocks a bit more reliable than Horse races, But with stocks you might not be leading on the first or second turns but if it's a long enough race you can usually finish in front. There is always the slight possibility of breaking your leg and having to be put down, that's why i bet on the sturdy horses. DYOR and minimize the risk factor.
